This world is not my final home, though it has its many friends
Help me keep my eyes on Jesus and not follow earthly trends
The world is full of experts who think they know everything
But the Bible has the answers which makes my heart to sing
Our God is so much wiser than any man on earth
We can trust him fully, even during a great dearth
He holds the whole world in his hand and remembers we are weak
And gives us courage in the darkest hours when life seems so bleak
He sees us from his throne on high and knows what we face
He says, "Dear Child, I'm with you, I will give you grace"
Though sometimes we are lonely and have to stand alone
Someday when we see Jesus, we will be glad we are his own
He loved us enough to go to the cross for you and me
And opens up the blind man's eyes so that he can see
If you live your life for Jesus, even though the road seems dim
When you finish life's race, you'll be happy to be with him
James 4:4 Ye adulterers and adulteresses, know ye not that the friendship of the world is enmity with God? whosoever therefore will be a friend of the world is the enemy of God.
