Salvation and discipleship
are in no way the same thing
Salvation is a free gift,
discipleship costs everything
The only requirement to get saved
is to believe, trust, and depend
upon the name of Christ and receive
the gift of eternal life that will never end
You may believe a certain plane
can fly across land and sea
but to trust in the plane means you get in it
to take you where you want to be
To believe on Jesus is to trust him completely
to redeem and save your sinful soul
since he died on the cross and rose again
to pay for all your sins in full
Discipleship is a decision after you've received
this gift of salvation that can never be lost
when you love your savior so much
that you want to follow him whatever the cost
Salvation - John 1:12 But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name.
Discipleship Luke 14:33 So likewise, whosoever he be of you that forsaketh not all that he hath, he cannot be my disciple.
