Jesus Loves You
The Savior is waiting to enter your heart
Once he comes in he will never depart
He has life giving water to quench your thirst
And with his love you'll be immersed
He came to give you life more abundant and free
And that is why he went to the cross of Calvary
His shed blood was the perfect sacrifice
He has power to forgive sins because he paid the price
If you are thirsty then come to him now
And at the mercy seat humbly bow
He loves you so much and is the only way
Jesus is only a prayer away
Jesus is waiting with his arms open wide
He says "Come unto me and with me abide"
He'll forgive any sin you've ever done
And wipe the slate clean as though there were none
He promises you a home in heaven where you'll never grow old
Where some day you'll be walking on streets of gold
His great salvation you can never lose
Whoever comes to him he will never refuse
John 6:35 And Jesus said unto them, I am the bread of life: he that cometh to me shall never hunger; and he that believeth on me shall never thirst.
John 6:37 All that the Father giveth me shall come to me; and him that cometh to me I will in no wise cast out.
Jesus Paid My Debt
Jesus paid a debt I owed
I debt I could not pay
It was only by his merciful grace
that for me there was a way
I was born a sinner
inherited from Adam and Eve
The only way to have my debt paid was
to believe on Jesus and him receive
He came to pay for our sins
at such an awful cost
They put a crown of thorns on his head
and nailed him to the cross
When he was dying in agony
people watched him and did stare
Some said "He saved others
why don't He just come down from there"
But Jesus had to stay upon
the cruel cross you see
For he was hanging there
suffering for you and me
He had to stay on the cross
for our sins to pay
Then he cried "It is finished"
the debt paid in full that day
Romans 6:23 For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
Do you repent to be saved or do you believe
Believing and repenting are two sides of the same thing
To call upon Jesus for mercy and Him in your heart receive
Coming as a poor undone sinner seeking forgiveness and letting Him take you under his wing
To believe ON, not believe about, means to depend, trust, and rely upon
Realizing you're a sinner and can do absolutely nothing at all to save yourself
But believing in Christ's atonement as recorded in the book of John
That he loved you so much on the cross he took all your sins upon himself
Believing on Jesus is putting the matter of your salvation in His hands alone
Knowing there is nothing in yourself you could do for this salvation to obtain
But only trust and believe on Jesus to be born again and claim Him as your own
If there was any other way to be saved, then did Christ die in vain
John 1:12 But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name.
John 20:31 But these are written, that ye might believe that Jesus is the Christ, the son of God; and that believing ye might have life through his name.
Ephesians 2:8-9 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works lest any man should boast.
